 I'm proud to be the Americanism Chairman for the State of Illinois.  This program is to help promote Americanism in the country. To remind the public the sacrifices of our soldiers who protect our freedom. By being a chairman we need to promote patriotism by observing patriotic holidays and teach the proper care of our U.S. Flag. Encourage more respect for the National Anthem and the Pledge of Allegiance to our flag. We need to support our troops by writing letters, sending cards and expressing our feelings on how proud we are of our troops for safe guarding our precious freedom. We can donate pocket-flags to active-duty military personal. Go to www.pocketflagproject.org. or participate in the  Hero Miles program. This is unused frequent flyer miles to the Department of Defense to help troops on leave to travel home. Go to www.heromiles.org. If you have any ideas to help with this program, please feel free to contact us or if you have any question please do the same. We need to cherish our freedom and not take it for granite and stand proud to be an American.
