What a great theme our Department President Jo Lynn has selected for this year “A Work of Heart”. How appropriate when we are talking about strengthening our existing Auxiliaries and hopefully instituting new Auxiliaries.

Our National President, Jan Tittle, says that we must work together and take “Time for America’s Military Heroes” by strengthening our organization and forming new Auxiliaries. And that is exactly what we plan to do here in Illinois.

Our Department President has appointed eight Deputy Chiefs of Staff to assist the Auxiliaries this year. There are three for the up-state districts, three for the down-state districts, and two plus myself for the mid-state districts.

I look forward to working with all of you this year and I know if we concentrate on always being respectful and kind to each other we will strengthen our Auxiliaries. If you know of a bachelor Post interested in having an Auxiliary I am only a phone call away!!
