From Installation to Installation
we are the keepers of our Auxiliary’s history on our given level,
chronologically compiling a combination of photographs, memorabilia and
journaling for the preservation of our organization’s history.
With an
antiquity as rich as ours, we as a Historians are also considered writers,
authors, profilers or researchers. We have learned from those before who have
recorded chronologically accounts, be it a journal the President writes of her
travels and visits or a picture books depicting events of a function attended,
along with a diary of thoughts. This is recording history.
µ Check
out the 2007-2008 Department Program for Awards for Auxiliary Historians and
District Historian.
µ Remember
your pictures should tell a story; take lots of pictures and pick out the
specials one that tell the story!
µ Disposable
camera take great pictures, don’t be afraid to use them, just remember the
flash feature for indoor pictures.
As Department Historian, I will
be at various functions to capture the special moments for Donna’s ALL-STAR
RECORD BOOKS.
