Hello, Sisters, I am Marty Fay
and I have the privilege of being your Patriotic Art/ Voice of Democracy
Chairman for the Department this year.
The theme for Voice of
Democracy for 2007-2008 is “My Role in Honoring America’s Veterans”. This topic
should give our young adults much to think about, and I am confidant we will
hear some outstanding essays this year. Voice of Democracy not only provides
students with the opportunity to obtain scholarship money for their further
education, it also allows for critical thinking about veterans, the issues
facing them, and how the student can make a difference for those veterans.
We’re going to explore some
options for better promotion of the Patriotic Art program. I have some ideas
that will be included in the Bulletins, and I would also encourage you to share
any ideas that you have found useful.
I
am looking forward to working with all of you for a very successful Patriotic
Art/ Voice of Democracy program this year!
