My name is Rose Ann Lobb and I am
pleased to be your Voice of Democracy/Patriot’s Pen Department Chairman for this
2009 – 2010 auxiliary year.
The VOD theme for this year is “DOES AMERICA STILL HAVE HEROES?
For the PATRIOT’S PEN, the theme is “WHEN IS THE RIGHT TIME TO HONOR OUR
MILITARY HEROES?
There are various means to inform the public of this great scholarship program
available to our youth. We can go to
schools; talk to teachers; leave information; put up posters; talk to
principals; hang flyers and applications; advertise on local TV and radio;
interview students; go to church groups; youth groups; boy and girl scout troops
and PTA meetings. This must be a
grass roots effort and our neighborhoods and surrounding communities are the
ideal places to begin.
