The Ladies Auxiliary to
the VFW Publicity Program affords us the opportunity to inform the public of all
the great works of our organization here in the State of Illinois.
Publicity will encourage
the community to Catch the Spirit in Serving our Veterans as the Veterans
continue to protect us daily affording us the opportunity to enjoy our freedom.
Prior to meeting with
your local media order the National Facts Leaflet from our National
Headquarters, familiarize yourself with all the Auxiliary Programs and review
the Publicity Chairman’s Guide. Following your meeting send a note saying you
are looking forward to working with them.
Over the years I’ve heard
that many local newspapers fail to print Auxiliary articles, well Newsletters to
your members will allow you to keep your members updated at all times. Flyers
posted at local business are also another way to keep not only your members but
the community updated.
During the 2007-2008
Ladies Auxiliary to the VFW year I encourage you to CATCH THE SPIRIT IN
SERVING OUR VETERANS BY CONTINUING THE VFW LADIES AUXILIARY TRADITION OF CARING.
