My name is
Rose Ann Lobb and I will be your Veterans and Family Support Chairman for this
auxiliary year. There may still be some confusion as to the name of the program
since it had been known as REHABILITATION in prior years. Our program is
basically the same except we have added the UNMET NEEDS PROGRAM and
ADOPT-A-UNIT.
This
program is an advantage to Veterans not in the hospital, their families and
active duty military and their families. Membership in the VFW is not a
criteria for providing aid. OPERATION UPLINK is a very important part of this
program. All auxiliaries are asked to donate to these prepaid phone cards.
Anything we
do to help our Post and Auxiliary Members is a benefit to them. Moral support
is provided with home visits and transportation to appointments, church,
shopping and any other service we may provide.
Bulletins
are provided on a regular basis to provide additional information and assistance
in having a successful program.
