I’m Anita Mercer and I have been given the honor of being appointed Historian for the 2011-2012 year. As the Historian it is our responsibility to record, in a chronological order, the events and happenings of our group whether it is Auxiliary, District, or Department levels for the future generations.
Please take a look at the 2011-2012 Department Program book for Awards for the Auxiliary and District Historians.
- Take lots of pictures, this way you can pick out the very special ones that tell the story.
- Remember that you can use disposable cameras. They take great pictures and are readily available, just make sure to use the flash feature for indoors. This year digital media will be accepted.
- Enjoy the memories. Have Fun!
As Department Historian, I will be at numerous functions to catch Diane and the sisters hard at work and play for her memory frame.
If we ALL BELIEVE WE WILL ACHIEVE Great Rewards for the Department of Illinois, and the History will be preserved of this wonderful organization for the next generation. So Lets all Step Up and Leave No Veteran Behind.
