Program Coordinator

Mary Spindler Program Coordinator
Our organization has been standing strong since 1914! Since that time, there have been many changes that have affected how we do do things. All of these changes were made in an effort to make our Ladies Auxiliary run more smoothly and efficiently. Now, this year, another significant change mandated by National is upon us, as Community Service will no longer be a separate program. Of course, we will not stop our Community Service projects--we will simply report them differently. As Program Coordinator, it will be my responsibility to track the hours, dollars, and money for completed projects (all of which are considered Community Service) so we can report it to the Department VFW.
This is not a project that one person can do alone! It will take everybody's cooperation to make it work. Here's what EVERYONE needs to do:
The new report forms have an area to tally number of projects, hours, dollars, and miles. This information MUST be completed, and if you don't know the exact amount of dollars or hours, you should estimate them to the best of your ability.
Do not leave any field blank. If the amount is zero, then put that amount in the box. That way we know you didn't simply omit a figure.
Next year, we will be going totally GREEN! This means all reports must be submitted electronically. Every Auxiliary should implement this procedure now, by finding that one person in their Auxiliary who can file online reports. If we wait until next year, the transition will be unlikely to go smoothly.
This year will be a learning year for all of us. If we all accept the changes and adapt to them, I am sure you will find them to be more efficient and cost effective in the long haul. Change is good!!! Believe and Achieve!
